Thank you to East Montpelier resident Jane Knight (AKA Moby Chick) for making our recent gathering of Dorothy’s Club such a success. 22 EMES 4th – 6th grade students (plus a few Calais kids) traveled out on a cold and snowy December evening to talk about the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award nominee Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson. Jane Knight, who is also on the Canfield Fisher Book Award committee, came to answer our questions and talk to us about Roller Derby and Roller Girl. Our next Dorothy’s Club meeting will be in January where we will explore the book Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan.
